The kumara in this pack were handpicked from our fertile farm in the north of New Zealand. It’s a patch of paradise we’ve been caring for since 1976. Today, generations of our family and our wider kin still use time-honoured know-how to grow nutritious food you can trace back to our land.
How to Cook:
Roast: Preheat your oven to 180C. Place frozen fries on a lined oven tray. Drizzle with oil and place in the oven for 40 minutes, turning regularly. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with salt.
Airfry: Place the frozen kumara fries in the airfryer. Add 1 -2 tbsp olive oil. Cook for 35 minutes, depending on your airfryer settings, or until golden and crispy. Sprinkle with salt and enjoy with a side of aoili.
Deepfry: Heat the oil to 180C. Fry the chips for 8-9 minutes or until slightly golden and crispy. Remove and shake off excess oil. Sprinkle with salt.
Cooking tip: when deepfrying, keep a close eye on your kumara fries as you cook them – kumara has a high natural sugar content meaning they brown easily.
